CSWIP Non Destructive Testing
Approximate Course Duration: 2 weeks
Most offshore employers now require divers to have a CSWIP 3.1u Non Destructive Testing (NDT) ticket, so if you have aspirations to work offshore as a commercial diver then this subsea inspection course will be a vital benefit when looking for employment. Even if you aim to work in inshore and civil engineering diving, the skills and techniques taught on our CSWIP 3.1u Non Destructive Testing preparatory course are fundamental for a commercial diver.
Training you for the job, not just the ticket
Industry experts accept that you need time to get familiar with the use of NDT practices and equipment under the water. Our two week course allows you the time to get familiar with these techniques - time in the water and time with your instructor. We don't just train you to pass an exam, we train you to do the job, and do it well.
Including extensive practical and classroom based training; this two week course gives you maximum exposure to similar conditions and challenges that you will experience once you're employed as an NDT diver. Our instructors have time to spend with you if you are having problems with the concepts and to review your performance on our NDT structure. The extra time you receive in the water and with our instructors is essential for you and your future employer to have complete confidence in your ability to do the job well.
Purpose-built NDT structure in offshore environment.
Our subsea structure, situated on the sea-bed close to The Underwater Centre pier, was created specifically to give you crucial knowledge and understanding of NDT practices. The facilities and equipment at The Underwater Centre will provide you with a working familiarity that you won't get elsewhere. This competence will be indispensable on your first job.

The CSWIP training is currently therecognised and preferred inspection training in industry by employers. This is in keeping with the ethos of The Underwater Centre of providing the most relevant training for industry to ensure that when you have completed your course you have the skills, ability and knowledge required to make you more employable.
