Corporate Training

The Underwater Centre uses its expertise to provide training to some of the world’s leading subsea companies. Thanks to the unique topography of the loch on which we are based, along with the world class facilities and unrivalled experience of the instructors in diver and ROV training, we are able to provide a range of courses, tailored to specific client requirements.

Diver Qualificaitions
As the world’s leading commercial diver training school, we can provide a tailored programme of training for all HSE approved qualifications in air and mixed gas diver training. These include HSE SCUBA, HSE Surface Supplied, HSE Surface Supplied (Top-up) and HSE Closed Bell certificates. We can also provide additional tools training for those wanting to increase the skills of their workforce, with courses such as NDT, ACFM, ALST and IMCA Diver Medic.

Experienced Candidate Assessment
For employees who are looking to transfer pre-existing diving qualifications which have been certified overseas, we offer an Experienced Candidate Assessment course. This is a shortened version of the HSE Surface Supplied course and allows students to gain their HSE Surface Supplied (Top-up). This option may be particularly attractive to commercial divers from overseas who do not have the necessary qualifications to undertake our HSE Closed Bell course or work in UK waters.

Tailored Training Programmes
Thanks to the range of courses we run all year round and the experience we have, we can tailor courses to meet your needs; students are provided with the chance to train in an industry specific environment meaning they experience first hand the challenges and demands of working in industry.

More than just diver & ROV training
In addition to offering specific diver and ROV training courses, The Underwater Centre provides the perfect industry-specific experience required by some before going off-shore. Subsea 7, for example, recently sent a group of inspection engineers to the Centre to familiarise themselves with the work divers and ROV pilot technicians get involved in. Their training programme was created specifically for their team of inspection engineers and their training requirements. Thanks to the Centre’s range of facilities, equipment and courses, students can gain extensive experience not available anywhere else in the world.

The Centre is chosen as the ideal location for the provision of training due to the facilities, unique training programmes and the experience and knowledge of the instructors to assist and support the delivery of the training.
